     Clare - Trowbridge Class
                      Lost 4st. 3lbs over 10 months
                      From 14st. 3lbs to 10stone

    Clare says:

I have lost weight before but never this well – I was amazed when I lost 5lbs in the first week and had reached my first stone within weeks. Then I was warned that it would slow down but I still managed to lose the first 2 stone quite quickly.

I found that I could eat easy things like beans on toast and lots of bacon & eggs or wraps and Kebabs in Pitta bread, if I want a takeaway, and that has really helped as I tended to rush my meals and then eat junk.

I had given up crisps and most of the rubbish I was eating but found that nights out with the girls were tricky ! As the weight came down I began to feel more confident and started to change my clothes and hairstyle.

I know that I have to keep to my new habits if I want to stay looking good, that is going to be the test – to keep focused now that I have reached my goal.

   

 

 

 

 

 

 

     Dave - Bath Class
                      lost 3stone (42lbs) over 12 weeks
                      From 15st. 7lbs to 12st. 7lbs in just 12 weeks !

    Dave says:

My downfall has always been NO breakfast – little lunch (because I have been working and no time to eat) and then all I could eat in the evenings especially bread , because when you are starving it’s a good filler.

So I now have a breakfast and a lunch and don’t get so starving in the evenings!

Staying motivated has been a big problem with me in the past when I have been on a diet. Usually 2 or 3 weeks into it and all those bad habits come back and I have stopped.

But know I have Shapes helping me and when I weigh in week in week out I always get the extra motivation I need to get me through the coming week.
So for me the help that Heather and the other members of the class give me is crucial & not just weight and go without any support. Also a big benefit is my wife being on the same programme and helping me with my meals as I do not pretend that I can cook !

I still want to lose a little more and I know that I have the confidence and support now to do it.

   

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

     Lorna - Warminster Class
Lost 4stone in 2 stages from 13stone 7lbs down to 11stone 7lbs
Then in the last year 11stone 7lbs down to 9stone 7lbs

Losing weight steadily is the best way for your long term correct body weight.

I have sustained my weight by attending classes regularly even now as a target member and taking just 45 minutes a week out of a very busy working life.

I find this diet so easy to follow even when time is short and one tip I would especially recommend is drinking lots of water.

It is wonderful to be able to go into a clothes shop and buy whatever I fancy
and find it fits perfectly, looking in the mirror and liking what I see and being able to maintain my weight easily.

I now can have holidays and family occasions without piling on the pounds I really enjoy my food and never go without but I have learnt to be sensible and return to my programme after the event and its all down to Shapes !

   

 

                                                                                                                                                     

 

 

 

 

     Michelle - Melksham Thursday Evening class - 42years old

          Starting weight 11stone 6lbs
         Target 9stone 6 lbs - 28lbs lost over 12 weeks !

    Michelle says:

I joined Shapes in February
Reasons for wanting to lose weight?
I was in serious need of some direction regarding my weight.

- I have a family history of diabetes
- Felt 40/ frumpy & mumsie!!! and fat
- My clothes were tight !! I was under a false illusion that I still looked okay until I saw a photo of myself and had to delete it!

As time went by I:
- Really enjoying this, weight coming off steadily
- Feeling healthier
- Looking better
- More energy
- A great bunch of people who are becoming friends
- Enjoy the cookery class and getting lots of ideas – trying foods I have never tried before!
- Clothes fitting – lovely – having to buy new ones – any excuse !
- Love it when people say “ Wow you look great where’s the rest of you!”
